Genre:  this film is a 2013 American 3D computer-animated adventure comedy film sequel to the 2010 animated film and is suitable for viewing by a family audience

Synopsis: Steve Carell, Russell Brand, and Miranda Cosgrove reprise their roles. Kristen Wiig, who played Miss Hattie in the first film, voices agent Lucy Wilde. New cast members include Benjamin Bratt as Eduardo and Steve Coogan as Silas Ramsbottom, head of the Anti-Villain League.  Gru, formerly a super-villain, is now no longer a villain after having saved his three adopted daughters Margo, Edith, and Agnes from rival super-villain Vector in the first film Despicable Me . Gru is having a birthday party for Agnes, the youngest child, in which he impersonates a Fairy Princess to save her from disappointment when the performer cannot attend.  A spin-off film Minions, focusing mainly on Gru's yellow henchmen before they have met, is set to be released on December 19, 2014

Despicable Me 2 will be released Wednesday, July 3rd.
