THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS & SCIENCES, NEW YORK CHAPTER ANNOUNCES NEWLY ELECTED EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND BOARD OF GOVERNORS


Notable Television & Media Professionals to Represent the New York Market

 

New York, NY, June 4, 2019 – The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York Chapter is proud to introduce its newly elected Executive Committee and Board of Governors set to represent the tri-state region. Officers and Governors took office effective June 1, 2019 and serve on behalf of the membership until May 31, 2021. The elected individuals represent the hard work, creativity, and passion that defines New York Television.


We are also delighted to announce that Amy Waldman, former News Director at PIX11, will be joining the New York Chapter in the capacity of interim Executive Director. Prior to joining PIX11, she served as Supervising Producer at Court TV, Producer at CNBC, Producer at Fox News Channel and Producer at WGRZ-TV. Amy is a proud alumna of Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications. Her exceptional background has left her well prepared for the position, and her wealth of experience across New York markets represents a welcome addition to the chapter.


Members of the New York Chapter come from all aspects of the television industry. Officers and Governors are elected to set policy for the chapter and embody one of eleven membership classifications representing the full scope of the television and media industries. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences official membership classifications include: Advanced Media, Broadcast, Creative Crafts, Design, Direction, Executive, Music, Performer, Production, Sales & Marketing, and Writing.

Arnold Miller (Advanced Media), Marvin Scott (Broadcast Journalist), Robert Bonardi (Creative Crafts), David Weller (Design), Peter Levy (Direction), Janet Choi (Executives), Jeffrey Lesser (Music), Virginia Huie (Performers), Todd Ehrlich (Production), Vas Mountzouros (Sales & Marketing), Julie Poll (Writing).

 

New York Chapter National Trustees:

Robert Isaacson, Jim Turner, Marvin Scott, Audrey Arbeeny (Alternate Trustee).
