"Crash Course in Taking Story to Script"

This workshop is hands-on and interactive as it focuses on the following aspects of script development.

LOUISA BURNS-BISOGNO is an award-winning screenwriter, director, author, and international media consultant with over 100 on-screen credits. Her work has been produced on cable TV and on all the major U.S. networks, as well as distributed internationally. Among these are: My Body, My Child with Vanessa Redgrave, Sarah Jessica Parker …

LOUISA BURNS-BISOGNO is an award-winning screenwriter, director, author, and international media consultant with over 100 on-screen credits. Her work has been produced on cable TV and on all the major U.S. networks, as well as distributed internationally. Among these are: My Body, My Child with Vanessa Redgrave, Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon.


Louisa is an “O’Neill” playwright selected by the prestigious National Playwrights Conference (Waterford, Connecticut). Seven of her plays were chosen by the NY Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for stage readings at HBO, New York. She produced and directed ten other scripts for the HBO “Arlene Dahl Reading Series”. She is an active judge in international and national writing competitions.


She was trained as a Head Writer and has created story, breakdowns and scripts for popular soap operas on ABC, CBS and NBC. She won the Writers Guild of America award for ‘Best Daytime Series Writing’ and was one of the top four finalists in the WGAE comedy 2021 Scriptwriting competition. Currently, she is Executive Producer – Head Writer of a new Italian TV series in development, Sisters By Choice (Sorelle per Scelta).


Louisa has trained professional writers in dramatic series techniques in Moscow, Dublin and in Rome. Her former student Chen Lan’s dramatic series Princess Agents has the highest rating in Chinese television history with 230,000,000 viewers worldwide.
