New York Chapter Judging Policy

The other 18 chapters across the country, as well as the New York Chapter, see a regular increase in submissions. Judging is an enormous task. We are a member participation-based organization, and we must have your participation. We appreciate our members and their submissions. The judging requirement is meant to encourage judging participation with special incentives.

JUDGING REQUIREMENT: The success of the Emmy® Awards process depends on the willingness of qualified professionals to serve as judges.  Peers in other NATAS Chapters are serving this Chapter’s entrants and in return this Chapter will judge other Chapters' entries.  By entering, you agree to serve as a judge when called upon.

NEW JUDGING RULES:
  • -  Every entrant is required to judge at least 3 panels during the calendar year. If you enter more than 3 times, you should judge more than 3 times.
Judging will occur from January – November. Judging must be completed as per the deadline stipulated by the chapter. Late judging will not count towards the requirement.
