Computers, digital media, and information technology have transformed work and workplaces in major ways, and that includes changing what "freedom of speech" means for American workers. In his new book Speechless: The Erosion of Free Expression in the American Workplace, Bruce Barry critically assesses the state of free speech for individuals on and off the job.

The focus of this event is on digital speech and how employers struggle with the opportunities and threats in play when employees express themselves through technology and new media.
