NY NATAS Board of Governor Election Results Are In!
Dear Members,
Thank you all for participating in our bi-annual Board of Governors Election. We had the most votes cast in our recent history. I want to thank Virginia Huie and our Nominating Committee for their hard work as well the very talented slate of candidates who offered to run for these positions.
I’m thrilled that the board has trusted me, once again, to help guide this distinguished New York media institution.

The global pandemic posed unprecedented challenges to all of us, and the New York Chapter was no exception. But unlike many other institutions, we have emerged fiscally stronger and more united than ever. In spite of the pandemic, the New York Chapter has enjoyed many successes.
Our first-ever livestream gala last year was an industry triumph. We have doubled our membership in less than six months and the chapter has fielded more than two thousand entries for the 2021 Emmy® Awards competition.
This year’s entries are in the final stages of judging by the other regional Chapters. We had a record number of entries this year and a record number of members judged them. I also want to thank everyone who has judged other Chapters’ entries so far. There will be more opportunities to judge in the coming months and we will need your help.
We are planning to announce this year’s nominations in the third week of June. Our live or virtual Emmy® Awards gala will be held in mid-September or early October. We hope to make a decision on which it will be in the coming weeks.
