On May 1st, the faithful will be able to attend the beatification Mass of Pope John Paul in Rome and will be able to pray before his coffin which will be exhumed for the event. In memory and honor of this great Pope, see Pope of the Century which tells his story through both remarkable video and still pictures.

More than a million people are said to be attending the mass at which John Paul, who died in 2005, will be declared a blessed of the Church and move one step closer to sainthood. The ceremony will give heed to the funeral of the Pope which was considered one of the biggest media events of the new century. Faithful followers will be able to view the exhuming of John Paul’s wooden coffin from its current place in the crypts below St Peter’s Basilica and will follow with it being placed before the main altar inside the basilica. The closed coffin will remain there for viewing and veneration.

This is the perfect time to relive the wonderful attributions he contributed to humanity. For more than a quarter century, he inspired a devoted following around the world and led Catholicism through perhaps the most trying epoch of its history. Pope of the Century is the only complete DVD of John Paul’s incredible life, from his early days in Poland to his rise from priest to bishop to cardinal, his 26-year reign as Pope, and his poignant passing at the Vatican. Writer Bernard Gavzer has won Five Emmy® Awards, and many of the still and video scenes are rare reflections of the late Pope. To prepare and celebrate for this incredible event coming up on May 1, 2011 emerge yourself back into the life of the Pope John Paul and keep his memory alive!
