 actors of our time, Jane Alexander has performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway
 , London, and regional theaters, in more than a hundred roles. Her Broadwa
 y appearances include The Great White Hope, 6 Rms Riv Vu, First Monday in 
 October, and The Sisters Rosensweig.  She won a Tony for The Great White H
 ope, and has been nominated seven times.  She has received four Oscar nomi
 nations, for The Great White Hope, All the President's Men, Kramer vs Kram
 er, and Testament.  On television, she played Eleanor Roosevelt in Eleanor
  and Franklin, and has received 8 Emmy nominations, winning twice, for Pla
 ying for Time and Warm Springs.\nJane Alexander was the Chair of the Natio
 nal Endowment of the Arts under President Clinton from 1993 to 1997, and w
 rote about those years in Command Performance: An Actress in the Theater o
 f Politics, a New York Times Notable Book in 2000.  She has long been deep
 ly involved with wildlife conservation, and has been a Trustee of the Wild
 life Conservation Society.  She is currently on the Board of the National 
 Audubon Society and has been a Commissioner of New York State Parks.\nAlex
 ander will discuss her new book Wild Things, Wild Places telling stories f
 rom her 35 years of travels in the wild with field biologists.\nSpeaking w
 ith Alexander, we'll have a distinguished figure in her own right, Victori
 a Wilson, author of the acclaimed two-volume biography A Life of Barbara S
 tanwyck. Wilson is a Vice President and Senior Editor at Alfred A. Knopf. 
  She has served on many Boards, including PEN American Center and the Nati
 onal Board Review of Motion Pictures.  President Clinton appointed her to 
 the US Commission on Civil Rights (2000-2001).\nJane Alexander's book will
