 ntaries I have seen this year. &#8220\;Queen of the Mountain&#8221\; chron
 icles the\nstory of Theresa Goell, a pioneer female archaeologist. Born in
 \nin 1901, she ignored the dictates\nof her family, the social norms of he
 r era, and the limitations imposed by her\nown body (she was nearly deaf),
  opting instead for a life of challenge and\nadventure as an archaeologist
 , a man&#8217\;s profession at that time. In so doing, she\nachieved her l
 ifelong dream at the age of 50: leading the excavation of Nemrud\nDagh, a 
 now-famous archaeological site in southeastern\n. Broadway actress Tovah F
 eldshuh\nreads from the letters of Theresa Goell.  Martha Lubell, the prod
 ucer of &#8220\;Queen of the Mountain,&#8221\; is the niece\nof Theresa Go
 ell. The New York Times called this film, &#8220\;a strong, rich narrative
 \nwith visuals to match." &#8220\;Queen of the\nMountain&#8221\; was broad
 cast on PBS stations WHYY in\nand WNET in\nNew\nYork in March, 2006. The d
 ocumentary\nwon the Best Film by Jury and the Audience Award at the Archae
