In memory and honor of this great Pope, see Pope of the Century which tells his story through both remarkable video and still pictures.\n \n More than a million people are said to be attending the mass at which John Paul , who died in 2005, will be declared a blessed of the Church and move one step closer to sainthood. The ceremony will give heed to the funeral of th e Pope which was considered one of the biggest media events of the new cen tury. Faithful followers will be able to view the exhuming of John Paul&rs quo\;s wooden coffin from its current place in the crypts below St Peter&r squo\;s Basilica and will follow with it being placed before the main alta r inside the basilica.
