 t&rdquo\;\n	\n		 \n	\n		NY NATAS members plus one adult guest are invited 
 to attend this special event.\n	\n		There will be an Opening Night Wine Re
 ception with Personal Appearance of Legendary Animator Bill Plympton at th
 e Sragow Gallery located in New York City.\n	\n		 \n	\n		 \n	\n		\n	\n		 \

 llery will offerhand drawn works of art from Bill Plympton&rsquo\;s shorts
  and features for sale at the exhibit.  Pre-signed copies of Independently
  Animated: Bill Plympton, The Life and Art of the King of Indie Animation,
  by Bill Plympton and David B. Levy, foreword by Terry Gilliam and DVD&rsq
 uo\;s of Bill&rsquo\;s features and short films will also be on sale.  \n	
 \n		 \n	\n		In 1987, Bill received his first Oscar&reg\; nomination for &l
 dquo\;Your Face&quot\; followed by a second Oscar&reg\; nomination for &qu
 ot\;Guard Dog&quot\; in 2005.  In 2010, Bill was once again an Oscar&reg\;
  nominee for both his animated feature, &ldquo\;Idiots and Angels&rdquo\; 
 and his animated short, &ldquo\;The Cow That Wanted To Be A Hamburger.&rdq
 uo\;  New from Bill is a unique animated compilation from animators around
  the world called &ldquo\;Guard Dog Global Jam.&rdquo\; His new short film
 s, currently at Film Festivals include, &quot\;Summer Bummer&quot\; and th
 e Weird Al music video &quot\;TMZ.&rdquo\;  A member of the Society of Ill
 ustrators, Bill has been honored by the MoCCA Art Festival, as a Cartoonis
 t of the Year.\n	\n		 \n	\n		Sragow Gallery was established in 1974 by Ell
 en Sragow.  Early Sragow Gallery exhibitions included works of &ldquo\;eme
 rging artists&rdquo\; Ida Applebroog, Jeff Koons and Richard Prince.  Sinc
 e 1981, it has represented the Hollander Workshop (1964-1972).  Some of th
 e artists it currently represents are Elizabeth Catlett, Howardena Pindell
 , John Wilson, self-taught artist Bessie Nickens and works on paper by Sam
  Gilliam and Jacob Lawrence.  Currently, the Sragow Gallery is involved wi
 th African American Art and first showed the work of Joseph Delaney.  Alph
 onse van Woerkom&rsquo\;s own portrait of Bill will be on display in the g
 allery.  Ellen Sragow is a member of the International Fine Print Dealers 
 Association and the Appraisers Association of America. \n	\n		 \n	\n		This
