 thout current membership\nMowgli, an incredible and visually stunning clas
 sical ballet, was written by the 13-year-old prodigy Alex Prior who at the
  ripe old age of 15 was also the conductor for this performance. Born to a
  Russian mother and a British father, Alex was raised in England. He is cu
 rrently enrolled in graduate studies in composition at the Academy in St. 
 Petersburg, Russia. His great-grandfather was the famous Stanislavsky, his
  grandfather was an architect who designed and built one of the museums on
  Red Square, and several of his relatives have performed as premier dancer
 s with the Bolshoi Ballet. Alex is wonderful, intelligent, fun-loving and 
 a distinguished musician. Mowgli is based on Rudyard Kipling&#8217\;s The 
 Jungle Book. It is a full-length classical ballet, produced and performed 
 by The Moscow Classical Ballet, complete with beautiful sets, costumes, an
 d a symphonic orchestra. The score has some unusual instrumentation, and i
 t also includes a chorus. The choreographers are Natalia Kasatkina and her
  husband Vladimir Vasilyov, both premier dancers with the Bolshoi Ballet. 
 Mowgli is a wonderful children&#8217\;s ballet, and has every earmark of b
 ecoming a classic. The audience, filled with children, certainly loved it.
 \nThe host of this documentary is the incomparable Angela Lansbury who, as
  a prominent citizen of stage and screen, has recently had a triumph in he
 r Broadway performances of Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward. She will be retur
 ning to Broadway in the Sondheim classic A Little Night Music with Catheri
 ne Zeta-Jones.\nClemente D&#8217\;Alessio, a five-time Emmy&#174\; Award w
 inner, is the Founder and President of D&#8217\;Alessio Media, Inc., a com
 pany committed to the international broadcast of the performing arts. D&#8
 217\;Alessio began his career at the Metropolitan Opera where he was telev
 ision producer for the premier PBS series Live from the Met. Other high-pr
 ofile projects include: A Memorial for Audrey Hepburn at UNICEF, Placido D
 omingo Sings Zarzuela, The Hundredth Anniversary of the Philadelphia Orche
 stra, The Concert for Peace from Oslo with the Elie Wiesel Foundation for 
 Humanity, Georg Solti at 75, telecasts with Luciano Pavarotti and the Oper
 a Company of Philadelphia, annual Richard Tucker Opera Galas, The Classica
 l Hour at Steinway Hall, and a chamber music series for NHK-TV in Japan. H
 is television work has taken him to Norway, the Czech Republic, Italy, Ger
 many, Austria, and a Jazz Festival in Monaco. Programs have included such 
 luminaries as Leonard Bernstein, Dave Brubeck, Placido Domingo, Lionel Ham
 pton, President Vaclav Havel, Marilyn Horne, Audrey Hepburn, Elton John, J
 ames Earl Jones, Herbie Mann, Luciano Pavarotti, Gregory Peck, Skitch Hend
 erson, Sting, Andr&#233\; Watts and Elie Wiesel. He has received five Emmy
 &#174\; Awards, two Peabody Awards, two Radio Festival Awards, a Golden Ci
 ne Eagle Award, a Governor&#8217\;s Award, and an Excellence in Journalism
  prize for a wide spectrum of music programs for broadcast. Clemente is cu
 rrently on the Board of the Oratorio Society of New York, and for nine yea
 rs served on the Board of Governors of the New York Chapter of the Nationa
