 juggernaut&#8217\;s maturation arrives at a time when new high-definition 
 DVD formats &#8211\; Blu-Ray and HD-DVD &#8211\; and holographic storage a
 re entering the market.  Next-generation gaming consoles &#8211\; PlayStat
 ion 3 and XBOX 360 &#8211\; rely on DVD formats as delivery vehicles for o
 nline and multi-format communication.  While DVD as a stand-alone format f
 or home video viewing may have peaked, the DVD is still a platform that of
 fers tremendous creative opportunity for filmmakers and new media producer
