The New York Emmy® Awards Celebrates 60th Anniversary & Honors WCBS-TV WITH GOVERNORS' AWARD

 

THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS & SCIENCES, NEW YORK CHAPTER ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF THE 60th ANNUAL NEW YORK EMMY® AWARDS

 

New York, NY, May 6, 2017WNBC-TV was the big winner at the 60th Annual New York Emmy® Awards which took place at the Marriott® Marquis’ Broadway Ballroom. Following WNBC-TV with 15 Awards was MSG Network, which won 14 New York Emmy® Awards. WNJU Telemundo 47’s Noticiero Telemundo 47 – Terremoto en Ecuador 11PM took home the Emmy® for best “Evening Newscast Larger Markets” for its April 18, 2016 broadcast. WSTM-TV took home the Emmy® for best “Evening Newscast Medium Markets” for its NBC 3 News at 5:00PM: Martin Street Deadly Fire.

For the last four decades, the Governors’ Award, an Honorary Emmy®, has been presented in recognition of extraordinary and unique contributions made to the television industry. Each year, the Governors of the New York Chapter bestow this honor to an individual, company, or organization to recognize achievements that fall beyond the scope of our annual Awards. The 2017 Governors’ Award was presented to WCBS-TV
