Our industry is ever changing and the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our members while fulfilling our mission of recognizing, encouraging and advancing excellence in the “television industry” across all media. We encourage excellence in artistic, educational, cultural and technical progress by serving as an educational and professional resource to our members and the industry. We foster and reward creative leadership in television. We hold our past in high esteem while we look forward to the future of broadcasting.
The Emmy® Award continues to be the most coveted peer recognition Award in our industry. As we kick-off our 55th Annual New York Emmy® Awards season, we celebrate excellence regardless of the delivery platform. For the fifth consecutive year we’ve accepted entries in advanced media, honoring original content created for non-traditional platforms, recognizing outstanding achievement in television the art form - not television the platform.
Winning the Emmy® Award means your hard work, dedication, passion, commitment and talent are recognized by your professional peers. It is a personal achievement that many strive for and few are awarded. To those who are nominated … we congratulate you as this achievement in itself is difficult to attain and you deserve much praise. Our nominations will be announced in February 2012.
