OLD RULES vs. NEW MEDIA

The Internet is a playground for copyright infringement of all types, whether it be for music, movies, video, and/or software products.  Many producers today are skeptical to showcase their work online for fear of piracy or otherwise finding their traditional distribution vehicles undermined.  More in fact wonder when Digital Rights Management (DRM) will become a reality and thus finally enable them to monetize their work online using traditional and familiar licensing models.  But is this really the best strategy in today’s media environment?  Or are these professionals missing out on the real power and opportunity of the web?  And what tools exist today to secure the distribution of content in the digital realm?  Who is innovating and who is falling behind?  Find out more in this challenging discussion on whether DRM will ever truly be a reality or if, in reality, it ever truly needs to be.
