The award winning documentary, "Home" is a thought provoking visual poem, a meditation on New York, framed through the eyes of recently arrived Dubliner Alan Cooke as he wrestles with the concept of home, nostalgia and journey.  Dawn Scibilia's first feature is an impeccably shot love letter to New York. “Home” features candid interviews with many old and new New Yorkers, as well as the quintessential ones: Woody Allen, Pete Hamill, Fran Lebowitz, Frank and Malachy McCourt, Susan Sarandon, Rosie Perez, Colin Quinn, David Amram, Armand DiMele, Elaine Kaufman, Drew Nieporent, Mike Myers, Liam Neeson and Alfred Molina.  As natives and immigrants discuss what brings them here and makes them stay, “Home” give us glimpses of familiar images that never looked so stunning and enticing.

REVIEWS:

Beautifully captures the Irish immigrant’s journey through the myth and mystery of New York” FILMMAKER, JIM SHERIDAN

“Ms. Scibilia’s eye for lustrous textures and the sculptural shadows of the city's architecture makes for a miniature city symphony. She often succeeds in uncovering new beauty in New York's ordinary elements by avoiding the ready-made iconography of historic landmarks.”   NICOLAS RAPOLD, THE NEW YORK SUN

“This is a beautiful film, a visual poem to that most intimate of ideas "home," where the totality of human experiences, like the imperceptibly added layers of a pearl, combine to create, in this wonderful instance, a gem.” - FILMMAKER KEN BURNS

“A heartfelt and lyrical journey about the meaning of home.”  - ACTOR, GABRIEL BYRNE
