Topic: “Two Examples of Transmedia Television”

Join us for coffee and conversation with Georges Leclere who will just have returned from China.

At a time when CBS and HBO seem to be ready to cut the cord with the cable box, at a time when Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime reign over the connected television and Roku celebrate its 10th Anniversary, what can an individual Producer do to stay relevant?

Mr. Leclere, an international media consultant with a background in Science and International television and degrees in Astrophysics and Chemistry, he started his career as an on-screen scientific journalist on French TV, writing over a thousand news stories on daily news covering Moonwalks, Space programs, computers, Internet, advanced TV and Environment. Moving from France in 1986 to become Head of the United Nations Television in New York for 7 years, then Head of the International Emmy Awards for 10 years, where he created the International News Emmys and the iEMMYs Festival. He is currently co-creating GWEN, a TV series, with top writers in the USA, Russia, France, India and China and running, judging and consulting on TV competitions around the world.

In 2003, the French Government awarded him the Medal of “Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres” for his contribution to the world of international television.
